His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and the Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office graced the Premier Forum of the Knowledge Convention 2023, 25th November afternoon. Accompanying His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik. The Knowledge Convention in conjunction with His Majesty's 77th Birthday Celebration took place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
The Premier Forum discussed this year's Knowledge Convention theme, 'Munajat Senegara Dengan Taubat' or 'Nationwide Munajat With Repentance'. Upon arrival, His Royal Higness was greeted by;
- Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence;
- Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs;
- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health;
- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy;
- Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education;
- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, as Co-Chairpersons of the Knowledge Convention 2023 Steering Committee.
The recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim bin Haji Besar.
The Minister of Religious Affairs in the welcoming remarks emphasized the munajat and repentance are among the spiritual practices to achieve good.
The Premier Forum was chaired by Doctor Mohammad Hilmy Baihaqy bin Haji Awang Yussof, Lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Development Management, UNISSA. How munajat can have a positive impact on life, explained by Associate Professor Datuk Doktor Luqman bin Haji Abdullah, Mufti of the Federal Territories of Malaysia.
Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA explained the relation between munajat and repentance.
Sincere for the sake of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, among the elements that must be present in munajat, explained by Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Dinnie bin Haji Abdullah, Assistant Mufti.
Doa selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim.
His Royal Highness The Crown Prince then signed a commemorative parchment.
Through the Premier Forum of the Knowledge convention, it can increase the public's understanding on the importance of munajat and repentance.
